As a young Michael Jackson once said it really is as easy as ABC (…or HGV!)
Getting your HGV licence with Easy As HGV takes just 4 days, with our intensive courses which allow you to get qualified quicker. There are a few things that need to be done before you can start your 4-day course, which are explained in this handy video. Our friendly Team will take you through all of these steps to make sure you get qualified in the shortest time possible, so that we can start looking for your first driving job!
Good quality HGV training doesn’t have to be expensive, and at Easy As HGV we’ve perfected delivering our training in just 4 days whilst maintaining our fantastic first time pass rates. Our affordable, speedy courses mean you can get into a well-paid HGV driving job in no time. Newly qualified Category C drivers can earn up to £26k a year!
Put simply, if you aren’t currently in possession of a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) you’ll need to take the Driver CPC Initial Qualification (a theory test called ‘Module 2’ followed by a practical demonstration test called ‘Module 4’ at the Test Centre.) That will get you the DQC and allow you to work. Once you’ve got your DQC, you’ve got 5 years (as shown by the expiry date on the card) to complete your 35 hours periodic training locally to you. That’s 7 hours per year. Periodic Training is ‘attendance only’ which means you can’t fail it, and we’ve got loads of availability in a town near you.
The earning potential of an HGV driver has grown dramatically over the past 10 years, with the average C+E driver earning up to £32k per year. This is an increase of an average of around £10k, compared with 10 years ago. We fully expect the salaries for HGV drivers to continue to grow as the demand for qualified HGV drivers expands due to growth in online purchases.
Here at Easy As HGV we offer a full training and recruitment service to all our candidates and successfully place hundreds newly qualified HGV drivers every month.
This means that no matter where you are based in the UK, Easy As HGV will take care of all aspects of your training and recruitment needs, making the process easy and enjoyable throughout.
